Tackling climate change requires knowing what actions reverse the trend of global warming. How can we reward productive efforts and/or penalize negative activities? We have to be data driven. In this lightning talk Kathy describes a collaboration effort of LF projects EVE and Alvarium, in conjunction with developers at the IOTA Foundation, working toward remote tracking of the reduction of methane emissions from cows in Chile. Because cattle ranchers were monetarily rewarded when they reduced emissions, it was important to track data trustworthiness. This talk provides an overview of the technology tools and processes used in this data-driven climate change improvement project.
