Secure boot and secure firmware updates still are a trending subject with wide importancy on the Embedded and IoT world. Both face some concerns and challenges when it comes to low cost systems and small projects. MCUboot is an open source bootloader project that intend to address those concerns and targets microcontrollers systems. This presentation aims to give an introduction to MCUboot, its features and how the project defines a design for providing security and easy updates. Some examples using ESP32 may be used to illustrate the functionalities.
